Found the second couch in Shiraz in restaurant

Since our first host had to leave for his island camping trip. Ana and I tried to find a second couch.
We left our backpacks in a hotel where many of our backpacking friends stay, before meeting our potential host after his work.

We met up our Polish German backpacker friend Sebastian, and walked about Shiraz downtown.  We accompanied Ana to change to an earlier flight to India.  The first taxi driver misled us to a wrong location. Fortunately, a kind young lady found us a good taxi driver to drop us to a location close to the airline office. And she even paid for the taxi. Talking about the Iranian hospitality!

We had lunch in the bazaar, smoked some water pipes, and shopped for gifts before the Ashura holidays when all stores will be closed (just like Christmas in the US). Ana and I then met our potential second host in the hotel lobby where we stored our backpacks.  The potential second host was nice and kind but his home is 60 km from the city center which would be too far away from the airport and sightseeing spots. So we checked in the hotel.

My stomach still felt full from the late lunch, so Ana went out to have dinner by herself, while i showered and rested in the hotel. She met a lady in the restaurant who insisted us to stay with her.  At the one minute, i packed my stuffs (including wet clothes and yogurt etc.) and we checked out the hotel at 10 pm and stayed with our second host at the west side of the city.  We were showered with snacks, nuts, fruits, and even water pipes, and we chatted with the family until 2 am. We were surprised to see the TV channels include all kinds of programs as in the US, such as provocative MTVs.

We had breakfast at 9 am the next morning, and then Ana jumped upon a taxi to catch with her flight to Delhi. She and Sebastain will fly together and get there in 10 hours. I will miss Ana very much after we travelled together for three weeks.
Ana was happy that I can spend the Ashura with the family rather than left alone in the hotel by myself while all stores are closed. I am happy that she could leaved earlier with Sebastian who is very into all kinds of spiritual ventures.
